A First for IK9

IK9 recently held their first NASDU Training Course

Luckily the weather was kind, dry and mild, when we held our first ever Nasdu training course in the extensive grounds of our Ackworth Farm facility.

Five high quality handlers and their dogs were ‘put through the hoops’ by Head Trainer George Middlemiss (seen in the picture above, far right) and Assistant Trainer Ryan Geraghty (third from right) whilst Training Coordinator Andrew Flemming also got into the picture (far left). Staff and students are pictured in front of one of our new, specially adapted, Vauxhall Vivaro dog vans.

The candidates were examined to qualify for certification to Level 2 HABC Security Dog Handling, awarded by the Highfield Awarding Body Centre.

This is one further step along the path of our permanently on-going professional training objective; to produce the most highly qualified and skillful security teams possible.
