Swine flu – business continuity planning

Pandemic flu is an outbreak of influenza that affects many countries - and millions of people - and has huge implications for social, and economic life.
The Department of Health estimates that pandemic flu could affect up to 50% of the population and that there could be a significant number of fatalities.  This would have huge social implications.  Organisations would have to plan on how to function on half the workforce.
International K9 Consulting Ltd is monitoring the situation and has a Business Continuity Plan to minimise the impact of a active pandemic on our Clients and staff.  We have also taken into consideration the impact of workforce reduction in other organisations for example, schools closing, parents cant get to work. Suppliers, utilities, banks, the police, the Internet and telephones could be affected.
We have flexible staff and can cope with the demand if needed, are front line staff are familiar with all aspects of the Company and can take over anyone’s role with ease.  I would like to assure all our clients and staff that at IK9 we are sufficiently equipped to cope with the situation.
Sue Titley,
Managing Director.
